The Vitality Loop 5Ps: A Simple Way Back to Yourself

The main mission of Women Physicians Collective is to reverse disconnection. In order to reverse disconnect, we first have to understand it's main drivers.


Inside WPC, you’ll hear us talk about The Vitality Loop 5Ps, a simple framework for micro-reconnection that works even on the busiest of clinic days or call shifts. Each Vitality P addresses a driver of disconnection.

  1. Pressure → Pause
  2. Pointless → Purpose
  3. Perfectionism → Play
  4. People-pleasing → Protect
  5. Powerless → Power


You don’t need a free weekend or a silent retreat to come home to yourself. You need small, reliable moments that add up.


Here's how The Vitality Loop might look for me today.

  • Pause — Three intentional + anchored breaths before my next note.
  • Protect — One boundary that gives me back 15 minutes (Ex: deciding to eat lunch without working).
  • Play — One tiny dose of joy (jamming to Taylor on the ride to work)
  • Purpose — One value I will intentionally honor today.
  • Power — One tiny step toward what’s possible for me (Ex: reviewing savings).

The 5Ps are not about doing more. They are about doing with intention.
